Synchorus Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-30
Dalyda ("we") provides the Synchorus app ("the app"). This policy explains what information the app collects, uses and shares.
1. About the app
Synchorus connects devices over a local Wi-Fi network to play music in sync. It works through direct device-to-device (peer-to-peer) communication without a server of ours.
2. Information we do not collect
- The app has no sign-up or login. We do not collect or store personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts or photos on any server of ours.
- The music files you choose stay on your device. They are sent only over your local network, and only to the devices that have joined the same room, for synchronized playback. They are never uploaded to our servers or anywhere else.
- A device name (your device's name, or the name you set in Settings > Device name) is shown to the other devices in the same room and in the nearby-rooms list on the same local network. It is not sent anywhere else.
3. Information collected through ads (Google AdMob)
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may collect and process the following information and share it with Google:
- Advertising identifiers and device identifiers
- IP address (used for approximate location)
- App interactions (such as launches and taps) and diagnostic/performance information
This information is used to serve and measure ads, for analytics and for fraud prevention. See the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) for details. Ads are not personalized, and on iOS the app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. The Pro version shows no ads.
4. In-app purchase
The "Pro" upgrade is processed by Google Play or the App Store, which handle the payment. We never see or store your card or payment details. On Android, the app sends the purchase token to a verification service we run solely to check whether the purchase is still valid (for example, after a refund); no other data is sent with it.
5. Permissions
- Local network / Wi-Fi: device-to-device connection and music synchronization
- Notifications: media controls while playing
- Foreground service (Android): keeps playback running in the background
6. Data retention and deletion
We do not store user data on servers. You can reset your advertising identifier or turn off personalized ads at any time in your device's settings (Settings > Privacy / Ads).
7. Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you use the app in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the following also applies.
- Legal basis: ads are shown on the basis of your consent, which the app asks for in a consent form before any ad is requested. Processing needed to run the app (local playback, device-to-device sync) is based on our legitimate interest in providing the service you asked for.
- Changing or withdrawing consent: open Settings > Privacy options in the app at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
- Your rights: you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data, restriction of or objection to its processing, and data portability. Because we store no personal data on our servers, requests about advertising data are handled through the consent form and your device settings; for anything else, contact us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- International transfer: advertising data is processed by Google LLC (United States) under Google's standard contractual clauses and privacy commitments. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Controller: Dalyda (sole proprietorship), Republic of Korea. Contact: rkedsn@gmail.com.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when needed. Changes are posted on this page.
